Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
The Ramesh Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, is seeking highly motivated post-doctoral fellow candidates. The Ramesh Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated recent Ph.D. to work on Neurofibromatosis 2 (NF2). In addition to molecular biology experience, extensive experience in cell culture, cell signaling, single cell genomics required. Expertise in genome editing techniques and drug screening will be a plus. The new hire will be appointed as a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Post-Doc at the Harvard Medical School.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will work as part of the NF2 team to identify novel targets/pathways. She/he will be responsible for identifying novel pathways, define tumor heterogeneity in NF2-null meningiomas, perform drug screening and correlate tumor heterogeneity with drug response. Duties include among other things, growing human tumor and control cell types, cell signaling studies, establishing single cell transcriptome, analyses of large data sets and drug screening.
The Post-Doctoral fellow will be situated in the MGH under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Vijaya Ramesh.
SKILLS& COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The ideal candidate should have received (or expect to receive soon) a Ph.D. in molecular biology/cancer biology, or related field.
- First (or co-first) author of one or more peer-reviewed scientific publications
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work both independently and in a team
- Expertise in human cell models, cell signaling, single cell genomics
