Vijay Ganesh, MD, PhD
My two brothers and I were born in Upstate New York, and have lived in Boston since 2000. I’m a postdoctoral fellow in the O’Donnell-Luria Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, and a neurologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, specializing in neuromuscular medicine. My research and clinical interests are in the genetics of adult-onset muscle diseases. In my free time, I enjoy photography, tennis, and cooking with my fiance. Despite living in Boston for over half my life at this point, I’m still a New York Yankees fan.
RNA-sequencing in rare Mendelian disease diagnostics
I will be working in the O’Donnell-Luria Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Translational Genomics Group at the Broad Institute, to develop a computational platform for RNA-seq in rare disease gene discovery
